Information I collect and why

Newsletter

If you subscribe to the Triathlon Uncomplicated newsletter, I collect your first name and email address.

I use these details only to send you the newsletter and personalise it with your name. The lawful basis is your consent.

The newsletter is provided using Brevo, which processes and stores subscriber information on my behalf.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter or by contacting me. I keep your subscription information until you unsubscribe. A limited record may then be retained to make sure your unsubscribe request continues to be respected.

If you contact me

If you email me, I will receive your email address and anything you include in your message.

I use this information to respond to your enquiry. The lawful basis is my legitimate interest in communicating with people who contact the site.

I keep correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with the enquiry or where I need to retain it for legal or administrative reasons.

Training tools

If you use an interactive or AI-powered tool on the site, the answers you provide may be processed by the technology services used to generate your result.

The information is used only to provide the result you request and is not used by me for advertising or to build a marketing profile about you.

Please do not enter medical diagnoses, treatment information or other sensitive personal information into these tools.

Website and technical information

The website and its hosting providers may automatically process limited technical information needed to operate and protect the site, such as your IP address, browser or device information, pages accessed and security or diagnostic logs.

The lawful basis for this processing is my legitimate interest in operating, maintaining and securing the website.

I do not use this information for behavioural advertising.

Who receives your information

I do not sell personal information.

Information may be processed by service providers needed to operate the site, including:

• Brevo, for newsletter delivery;
• Lovable and associated hosting providers, for hosting and operating the website; and
• technology providers used to operate interactive or AI-powered features.

These providers process information only as required to provide their services or as otherwise explained in their own privacy terms.

International processing

Some service providers may process information outside the UK.

Where UK data protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, the transfer will rely on an applicable UK adequacy regulation or other recognised safeguard such as approved contractual protections.

Cookies

Triathlon Uncomplicated does not use advertising or behavioural tracking cookies.

Cookies or similar technologies that are strictly necessary for the operation, security or functionality of the website may be used without consent where permitted by law.

If I introduce non-essential analytics, advertising or similar technologies in future, I will update this notice and obtain consent where required.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights to access your personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing and receive certain information in a portable form.

Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how I have used your personal information, email contact@triathlonuncomplicated.com with “Privacy Complaint” in the subject line.

I will acknowledge a data protection complaint within 30 days, investigate it without undue delay and let you know the outcome.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

I may update this notice if the website or the way personal information is used changes. The latest version will always be published on this page.
